Great restaurant that keeps doing a good job over the years. My most preferred highlight is the quality of their tuna. Also their butterfish Nigiris are fantastic. Everything is joined by a high level service, that is attentive and old school (I love that tbh). It's been a year and the food is still outstanding but the service model seems to have changed to a more mainstream corporate structure of no defined or assigned wait staff. Errors made, difficult to get water, wine and when asked we felt like we were imposing on a staff with competing priorities. I see a recent review commented on a warm inviting experience so this may be related to the holidays.

Amazing! More than 5 stars this is more than food, this is art! We have been several time now and every time it's an amazing experience it's simply delicious, amazing, new, and somehow reliably perfect. Whatever we have eaten - but we do have our favorites - is amazing. I can only recommend this place it's almost always fully booked, reserve in advance and be prepared it's expensive but so worth it!
Update 2 (feb 2022) - Food was good, same « carte » but I felt like the quality was a little down and prices a bit up. Same team and maître. Update 1 (June 2019) - after our fifth time there, still super enthusiastic about the place. Original review (sept 2018) - One of the best sushi place in Madrid. 100% recommended. Super staff. Excellent food. If Kabuki has one Michelin ⭐, 99 Sushi should have ⭐⭐! I am sure the Red Guide will correct that soon!
